Today is the last sunday of my vacation in Taiwan.  7 more days, and I'll be flying back to Pittsburgh, from which I'll be taking the final flight to London UK and commence my studies at the AA.

In the beginning I thought the stay in Taiwan was fun, and it was: coming across familiar food and familiar streetscapes, seeing parents and sleeping on the old bed.  Most of the all the city gave me the spark, and helped me to write a new story outline of my novel's part 3.

The part 3 sends the main hero to a middle eastern country named Aslam, which is loosely based on present day Syria.  Obviously I've never been to that place...and interestingly I think Taiwan offers similarity in many unobvious ways.

But now, I am bored with writing.  I am struck with major writer's block.  I am bored with the city and bored with life.  I want to be in London right away.

I realize that once I stop writing this novel, it could be another two years before I 'pick up the pencil' again.

It is a tragedy.  But maybe it's God's will.   Somehow we try our best and we fail, but life manages to settle everythign down and everything becomes fine.
